So as some of you know I suffered a stress fracture/sprain to my left foot in July of 04. Specifally the 5th metatarsal. I made it threw medic school (I wasn't sure how my foot would like the boots) and thought it was doing great. Until a month ago when it started hurtign again, all the time. I would wake up in the morning and it hurt, so of course working out made it worse. I finally went into the doctor on wednesday and they redid the x-rays on the foot, still waiting to hear from the radiologist on those to make sure there isn't an acute fracture there. As long as there isn't I get to start Physical therapy on friday.

And I have a boring story for it. I want a cool story like I killed my ankle trying to restrain a combative patient, but no I get to use the "Relay for life" overuse at the fundraiser story.

Hey, at least you were doing something useful! I broke my foot when I had a seizure, woke up and it hurt like (expletive). It didn't heal right so now the bone is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch shorter than it should be. They wanted to do surgery to rebreak it and pin it. No thanks, I think that I can live with it. Good luck, hope everything turns out ok.

Report is that it is actually tendonitis. SO I got about a 10-15 minute treatment of ultrasound on it. And some take home exercises. And a follow up in three weeks to see if I am doign my homework.
