No Email

It appears that there have been no emails coming through my FOOPs address since Nov. 28.. Sent a couple of test emails from another address and they have not shown up.

LOL, now just remember, these emails come because YOU visited sites that logged your address, the server don't "attract" these messages. I would recommend a good spam program that will eliminate these issues. I use Spamfighter and it is very rare a spam message hits my inbox and it is even more rare that a valid message hits my spam folder. I know you use a Mac so I don't know if it would work for you.

The biggest culprit to get on these lists are signing up for contests online or the ever popular ones that will give you a prize if you look at these offers. Once you enter one of these sites, email life as you know it is over and you are FUBAR'D I use my FOOPS mail account as my main account and have since the beginning. Yes, I get my share of spam but it was my fault, not the FOOPS mail server.

I can activate the spam Assassin program on the server if others are having the problem. I have never used it basically cause I don't know how to configure it. We have 2 programs on the mail server, Spam Assassin and Box Trapper Spam Trap. I guess if someone can help me set them up, we can activate them if everyone is having Spam issues.

Trish, are you still getting all those SPAM mails to your FOOPS mail? I noticed your mailbox was full to it's limit. I know you run a Mac and don't know if it will work for you but I use a SPAM Filter called Spamfighter (http://www.spamfighter.com/Community_Default.asp) and it works great. I get at least 50 spam mails a day and that is a good day and less than 1% hits my in box. It is very very rare a message I really want hits my Spam box. I use IE6 and Outlook for email and it is a fantastic program. If it can work for you, I really recommend it. It will cure all those problems for you.

Now I am not getting any kind of emails from my FOOPS account. I have always checked it by proxy....so now I can not remember my original password. :( For some reason now when I try to check like I always have for the last year or so...I am told my Foops mail account is empty and I have no new mail. ???????

Trish, your account definitely isn't empty, it is actually full and over limit. So can you access it or not since you can't remember password? If you can access it, your password is good, if it keeps saying password is no good, let me know and I can reset it for you
