Looking for some help. My agency is looking to replace and upgrade our N2O systems but have been told the only one on the market is not FDA approved by our medical rep. We contacted the company and they have POOR customer service and have been difficult to deal with.
"If your service uses N2O, what system are you using?"
I need US FDA approved systems.
Thanks

N20 tank (non-automotive) + regulator + simple face mask (the one with no bag and the room air ports open) = N20 setup.
Or you could run a wet system with a 10lb. of N20, director port (cut two holes into the chest, one into each lung), and run two silenoids to each port (one for N20, one for oxygen) and set your window switch to 12-30 breaths and a cutoff of >94%....
Didn't know if you wanted to run a simple system on the human or a direct port setup.:D

The FDA requires that you use a setup that does not have a combined Oxygen and Nitrous Tank. You must use a tank of each and blend them...why I don't know.
Kind of a pain if ya ask me.
Not sure if you are still looking for information on Nitrous Oxide systems, but the one we use was purchased from Matrx Medical.
It does meet the required regulations and has worked wonderfully for us.
The website is www.matrxmedical.com
Hope I wasn't too late to help.

EMtenor,
Thanks that is the system we went with. The only down fall is the thirty minutes per tank. Our transports can well exceed that.
