I agree with Bruce. I carry a surefire tac light on my belt, and have another I drop into my parka pocket. Thus far I've not used anything better and we use flashlights a LOT up here in Alaska.

Hey Swanny.

Which SureFires are you currently using? And did you know the batteries that come with the SureFires suck... My light died with in Three days... And I didn't even use it much... Oh well, new batteries, they don't cost much!

Both of mine are the G-2 Nitrolon. I've haven't had any battery problems with either of them.

I carry a G2 and I love it, I will agree with the battery issue, but I too sometimes turn it on during reholstering or if I sit a certain way...however i will say it lets me know after about 5 minutes cause it gets so freakin hot..but yeah my G2 rocks!

I got better batteries for my E2D, I switched to the Energizer E2 titaniums and wow I get great light from my little light... and it lasts longer too!

I started using the Energizer Batteries too, much longer life as well.
