I'm looking at sitting for my National Registry EMT-Basic Certification, any studying help, either good tips, websites, books, etc. would be very much appreciated. But please don't give me the BSI, ABC's stuff, that I have downpath and know that is of the utmost importance on the NREMT-Basic Test, it's the other stuff that might be on the test that I need help studying for.

Thanks!

I will offer a suggestion, even if it's not what you want to hear. Study the heck out of OB and Airways. These are the areas that most will will fail or falter. You have to pass ALL sections with at least 70%. If you go into the test thinking that you know everything,"BEWARE" The way that test is presented will humble you in many ways. Just my humble opinion!!!!!!

Like was said earlier, study the OB and airway. There's a link on NREMT.org that helps with practice testing. Just be confident and I found with alot of our students that if you don't study the night before the big test then you'll do better as opposed to "cramming". Good luck, you'll be fine.

Don't worry...it is easy.

I scored 90+ on my state test and passed my NREMT with a 71. I took my NREMT test five months after my state test. I'm sure I didn't loose that much in retention alone. As others have said lots of OB and Airway. Also a bunch of cardiac and MUCH MUCH more ambulance operations than I ever had in class. Study up and you'll do fine... but anyone who thinks it was easy is much smarter than I (which admittedly isn't hard to do).

best,

B.
