Greetings folks - I am looking to create some type of course geared toward BLS providers to educate them on the Why's and How's of what we (the ALS Providers) do and what they can do to prepare for our arrival & how they can assist us.

I have done some Internet research and I know the these programs exist and are being taught. (The PA dept. of health has a pretty good set of course objectives in a memo I found from July '04) and there is a specific Book/Course "The Basic Provider - Assisting with Advanced Life Support
Skills" by Orlando Dominguez and John McPherson available but I was hoping that rather than reinvent the wheel - that perhaps one of you had access to program materials like this and would be willing to share them with me.

For the firehouse gang - this will be / is also cross posted in the EMS Gen Forum there and I'll be checking both places so you don't need to double post.

Thanks in advance for all your help and assistance.

The 2nd edition of the Mosby EMT-B book has a chapter on Assisting the ALS provider. All I could find from a google search. I'll check around elsewhere and see what I can dig up.
